Designed as a more casual, everyday addition to the group, Bottega brings together great coffee, pastries and gelato in a space that feels playful, welcoming and full of character. The concept takes cues from the charm and familiarity of the traditional Italian bottega, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens for its Northern Michigan setting.

The result is a small but distinctive hospitality experience: somewhere to stop for coffee in the morning, meet throughout the day, or wander in for gelato after dinner - giving Ross Hospitality a new reason to welcome guests from morning through evening.

Our goal was to create a brand identity that captured the warmth and care at the heart of Barkhouse, while positioning it as a refined, design-led destination for modern pet parents. Balancing cues of luxury hospitality with Barkhouse’s playful character was central to the brief. The identity needed to feel premium enough to sit comfortably alongside New York’s lifestyle brands, while retaining the joy, energy and humour that comes with owning a dog. Above all, it had to reflect Barkhouse’s guiding philosophy: Dog Obsessed, Just Like You.
